With beautiful sculptures, picturesque landscapes, and blooming flowers all around, what better place to celebrate art than the garden spaces of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West?

At its next Family Fun Day, the Center in Cody, Wyoming, throws a “Summer pARTy” in the gardens, where families explore and discover that, especially at a museum, art is everywhere—even outdoors. The event takes place Friday, July 18, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
“We invite families to attend as a group for a day of family-style arts and crafts,” says Interpretive Specialist Emily Buckles. “The whole family can unleash their wild and creative sides.”
Participants can create sculptures using natural materials, and try their hands at collage paintings and art with marbles. Buckles adds, “There will also be some interesting photo opportunities throughout the day!”
Thanks to a special grant from the R. Harold Burton Foundation, the Center’s summer Family Fun Days are included in the cost of regular admission, and are free to Center of the West members. On August 8, the final Family Fun Day of the summer features “Music of the West.”
