This winter has already brought considerable snow and cold temperatures to Cody. On the bright side, though, all that frostiness can mean just one thing: It’s time for the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s Winterfest Family Fun Day! This popular event takes place at the Center on Friday, January 19 from 3–7 p.m.
While it’s tempting to hunker down and hibernate through a long, cold winter, families can keep their creative juices from freezing up through games and crafts at Winterfest, and a host of wintry activities throughout the Center’s galleries.
Family Fun Days have all the trappings of the perfect family outing with entertaining, family-friendly activities and hands-on projects—and that all-important time together. The Center also serves a complimentary dinner from 5–6:30 p.m. for the first 200 Family Fun Day participants.
With support from a grant from the R. Harold Burton Foundation, Family Fun Days are free for Center of the West member families, and just $10 for non-member families. For more information, contact Interpretive Specialist Emily Buckles at [email protected] or 307-578-4110, and stay up-to-date on family activities through the Center’s Kids Programs Facebook page.
Since 1917, the award-winning Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming, has devoted itself to sharing the story of the authentic American West. The Center is an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. For additional information, visit centerofthewest.org or the Center’s Facebook page.
