The Buffalo Bill Center of the West launched a pilot program offering free admission for Park County, Wyoming, youth through high school, beginning September 1, 2022. The program provides an enjoyable museum experience and learning opportunity for young audiences in the region, free of charge.
The program has now been extended into 2023!
One accompanying adult will also receive free admission to chaperone the child or children.
This pilot program has been generously funded by gifts from donors and friends of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. During the annual WYOGIVES campaign in 2022, their gifts were matched with donations from The Homestead Foundation/John and Meredith Sullivan, the Thomas & Elizabeth Grainger Family Charitable Fund, and the Hughes Charitable Foundation.
WYOGIVES is an annual, special day of giving and community for non-profits across Wyoming, from midnight to midnight, when donors visiting the WYOGIVES website can contribute to participating non-profits across Wyoming. In 2022 the Center of the West had a goal of $50,000 to make this exciting program a reality, and exceeded it by raising more than $54,000 from a total of 88 donors.
