Buffalo Gals Luncheon
May 17, 11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Kuyper Dining Pavilion
Join us for a delicious lunch and a talk by our guest speaker, artist Jenny Booth, who presents Chapters and Little Voices. She tells us how she ended up in Cody in 1981, but then spent many terrific gypsy years of roaming the West—before ultimately ending up back in Cody in 2009. Jenny shares what finally caused her to take art seriously after a lifelong touch-and-go relationship.
Cost for our luncheon is just $25 for Buffalo Bill Center of the West members and $35 for non-members. Space is limited, so reserve your seat today by e-mailing our Membership Office or calling 307-578-4008.
About our speaker
Jenny Booth is a sculptor, a carver, and an artist. Her passion for carving began in the early 1980s. Once an avid equestrian competing in the performance horse sport of cutting, she put aside her saddle and spurs in 2010 to pursue her carving career full time. Since then, she has been honored with several awards, including People’s Choice at Cody High Style in 2012 and 2013, as well as two Honorable Mention Awards and Best of Show at the Western Design Conference in Jackson for her carved entries.
Jenny strives to capture kinetic feel of life and flow, considering every flower and leaf a personal challenge. She is constantly pushing her own boundaries with new designs, subjects, and patterns. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and unique, and is often produced in conjunction with other master craftsmen working in different media with limitless possibilities.
