Firearms object mount

This revolver is a loan to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It is a Colt Model 1905 Bisley Revolver that belonged to Audie Murphy. Audie Murphy was the most highly-decorated veteran of World War II. He was also an actor who starred in several movies.

These two photographs show how I have mounted the revolver for display after conferring with our Cody Firearms Museum staff. They wanted the revolver slightly laid back and suspended.

The firearms object mount is made of brass, and all supports touching the firearm are covered with tubing or felt to prevent scratching. The only part visible is the base rod, which is a couple inches to the rear of the revolver.
