Artist Agreement Form – Patrons Ball Masterworks

I. Artist may submit a maximum of one work of art for the live Patrons Ball Master Works Ballot Box Fundraiser. All art will be displayed in the Rendezvous Hall of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West beginning the week after Labor Day and will remain on display through September 20, 2025.
ll. Artist commission is at most 70% of the sale, unless otherwise specified by the artist. The Center of the West retains at least 30% of the proceeds for the promotion and sale of consigned works, unless otherwise specified by the artist. Commissions are paid approximately 2 weeks after payment is received from the buyer. Artists must submit a completed W-9 and a New Vendor form along with the signed contract before commission can be paid.
III. Consigned works must be framed or otherwise suitable for display. Paintings must be equipped with d-rings for proper hanging and safety of the art.
IV. Artist must provide a sale price on this form, or it will be assigned for them. Please keep in mind when placing the value on your consigned piece that the Patrons Ball Master Works Ballot Box Fundraiser is a significant fundraiser for the Center of the West and is not a silent auction, or live auction, but has a singular price or value for each work.
V. Unsold art will be shipped by UPS or by the Center of the West. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the return of unsold artwork. If you are a local artist, you may make arrangements with the Development office to pick up your artwork.
VI. The Center of The West reserves the right to publish, and exhibit works of art for the Patrons Ball Master Works Ballot Box Fundraiser promotion.
VII. The artwork submitted continues to be owned by the artist until a sale is secured. The artwork will then become property of the purchaser. Due to liability concerns, no art will be taken from the show by an artist or their designee without written permission from Center of the West administration.
VIII. Risk of Loss, Delay, or Damage: The Center of the West shall insure all consigned and donated art works in its possession and control to its fair market value. The Center of the West shall exercise reasonable efforts to safeguard and protect all art works from loss or damage while in its possession and control. However, the Center of the West shall not be liable for any loss, delay, or damage of any kind or charter to Consignor/Donor and consigned/donated works from any acts or omissions of third persons or from any acts or omissions of its agents and employees except for the gross negligence of its agents and employees. Consignor/Donor shall at its sole expense, maintain any insurance it desires if over and above set fair market value against any loss, delay, or damage of any kind or character to consigned or donated works.
