The Whitney Reinstallation: Part 1

Yesterday marked the first day of five that we began the daunting, albeit exhilarating task of rehanging and installing the works of art that came back from exhibition at both Go West! and Today’s West exhibitions in Atlanta and Cartersville, GA.

But this is not your average reinstallation of works coming home, at the Whitney we like to shake things up. We are adding in new works never before seen from our vaults and rearranging our entire floor plan to provide our visitors with a fresh 2014 take on Western American art.

I’ll be providing you with a behind-the-scenes look into our process through photographs and curator’s remarks as we progress deeper into the art of curating a museum.
