Flat Tail

The photographer Walter McClintock wrote about Flat Tail in 1905 relaying his stature as an especially tall man and his importance as one of the tribe's "Old-men Comrades" whose duties in that society were "to advise in various ceremonies, act as heralds to make announcements through the camp, and call the society together whenever a meeting was desired." (Grafe, 2009, 245.)
