Strikes His Enemy Pretty (Head #5)

Portraits of this popular Crow model, Strikes His Enemy Pretty, do not begin to be part of Sharp's many early exhibitions until around 1906. Many subsequent portraits with a variety of poses followed shortly after that. Sharp sold this portrait to Butler in March 1906. (sales ledger, Sharp Papers) Other versions posed with a feather bonnet include #s 13 and 292.
