Penciled on dust cover: Chant of Vengeance - Taos - $350. Hunting Son JHSharp. Taos.

 

In the retrospective exhibition catalogue of 1949, Sharp noted that this was painted in 1933 and it pictured Hunting Son.  It was exhibited with this title in 1940 in Springville Museum of Art, Utah. (unidentified clipping, Sharp Papers)
