Sharp started painting and exhibiting portraits of  Bull Thigh as early as 1900 in Paris. He exhibited a painting titled Head of Cheyenne at the Paris Exposition that year (whereabouts unknown). It was a profile view like this, but different.  See engraving of that version, #327a.
