Quiver, Arapaho;[Quiver]

Penciled on dust cover: 1900-1904 Quiver Arapahoe, Wyo. Painted in his cabin in Big Horn Mountains. - Only one tiny window, & painted in reflected light - one of my best paintings & portrait.

The signature style would date this work at 1903 or after. It was possibly related to his trip beyond the Big Horn Mountains to the Shoshoni and Arapaho Reservation in 1907.
