Taos Cañon; [Taos Creek]

Sharp's sales ledgers for 1926 list a painting of this size titled Taos Cañon which sold to a Morris Strauss for $500. The theme of fishing was also popular with the artist at the time as he sold a smaller painting titled Lucero Cañon, Frank Fishing to a Texas lumber company in Houston for $225. (Sharp Papers)  A sales exhibition that year, 1926, at the Traxel Art Galleries, listed 41 paintings of which five were cañon and aspen views.
