Copy of a Portrait of Simon de Vos (by Abraham de Vries)

This oil portrait copy was made at the Maagdenluismuseum of Antwerp in 1881 or 1885 during one of his two periods of study in Belgium.  It hung in Sharp's studio in the late 1890s, as seen in a photograph of that workspace taken around 1899. (related image, #692b.)
