Winter Landscape with Haystacks

This sunlit impressionist landscape study was made on Fra Dana's 2A Ranch during one of the artist's many visits which began around 1906 and continued well into the teens.  The atmosphere is cold, clear and crisp and the brushwork as vigorous as air is breathable.

For a discussion of Sharp's relationship with Dana, see #613.
