This portrait was exhibited as Do-ree-tah at the Cincinnati Museum in 1900 and again with that title at the Cosmos Club, Washington, DC in 1901. It was illustrated in reverse in Sharp’s April 1899 article in Brush and Pencil magazine. In addition, he produced an etching of this woman, related image, #240a. This and other etchings were marketed as early as 1900 in Sheridan, WY at the H. A. Coffeen & Son bookstore where it was titled Do-ree-ta, young Pueblo squaw. Sharp was still exhibiting a version of the oil portrait in 1911 in Los Angeles. See LA Express, 4/15/1911.
