Exhibition Production Assistant
The Museum Services department is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Exhibition Production Assistant to begin in Spring 2025. Reporting to the Exhibition Production Manager, this position plays a vital role in supporting the planning, production, and maintenance of museum exhibitions. The Exhibition Production Assistant works closely with the Exhibition Production Manager to help realize exhibition designs, prepare galleries, and ensure that installations are executed with care and precision.
In addition to exhibition production tasks, the Exhibition Production Assistant contributes to the stewardship of the museum’s collections by assisting with the care, storage, movement, and exhibition of artworks and artifacts. This includes handling objects according to best practices, supporting the safe transportation of items within the museum, and maintaining orderly and secure storage environments.
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented and reliable team member who brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to work. This is an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the presentation and preservation of exhibitions while working as part of a collaborative and dedicated museum services team.

Custom Events & Group Travel Specialist
The Buffalo Bill Center of the West is seeking a detail-oriented, service-driven professional to join our team as a Custom Events & Group Travel (CE>) Specialist. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of group visits, private events, and institutional functions across our dynamic museum campus. Reporting directly to the CE> Manager, the Specialist ensures every event—whether large or small—runs smoothly and meets the highest standards of hospitality, logistics, and customer satisfaction.
The CE> Specialist is responsible for managing group and event reservations, including entering bookings in our point-of-sale system, reviewing availability, and issuing confirmations. They work closely with the Catering Chef to develop and implement menus for custom events and also step in as Production Chef when needed. The position oversees the organization and inventory of catering materials, including linens, hard goods, and alcohol, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use. The Specialist supervises part-time and on-call event staff during programs, maintaining a professional, responsive presence on-site and ensuring that all events meet guest expectations.
Strong communication across departments is essential, and the Specialist helps ensure internal coordination for every event, from guided tours to catered receptions. This position also plays a key role in using technology to streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and deliver timely updates. Cross-training with Admissions, the Eatery, Coffee Bar, and Dishwashing teams allows this role to provide support where it’s most needed. A flexible, collaborative spirit and a commitment to excellence are essential, especially when addressing guest concerns or ensuring last-minute adjustments go off without a hitch.

Gallery Guards
Food & Beverage Associate
We are seeking professional, attentive, and guest-focused individuals to join our team as a Gallery Guard. In this role, you will help ensure a positive visitor experience while protecting the safety of our guests, staff, and collections. Gallery Guards serve as a visible presence in the galleries, offering assistance to visitors, monitoring activity, and helping enforce museum policies in a courteous and respectful manner.
Key responsibilities include inspecting gallery spaces, greeting and assisting visitors, reporting incidents or irregularities, and maintaining communication with the Security team. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and enjoys interacting with the public in a professional setting.
A high school diploma is required, with at least two years of visitor service experience preferred. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and a commitment to providing a welcoming environment are essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in supporting both public engagement and cultural preservation.
Now hiring a friendly, reliable team member to join our Café staff. This position is responsible for providing prompt, courteous service to all guests, assisting with food purchases, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that food and drink stations are well stocked and presentable. As part of a world-class museum, this role upholds high standards of hospitality and professionalism.
Responsibilities include greeting customers with a smile, assisting with orders, restocking food and beverage items, clearing tables, and keeping all areas clean and organized. Additional duties involve handling cash registers, supporting food preparation, assisting with catering events, and serving items from the Coffee Bar. A strong focus on cleanliness, including proper dish handling and floor care, is essential.
The ideal candidate brings a helpful, customer-first attitude, and can manage a variety of tasks efficiently. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service.

Available internships typically include everything from curation, to marketing, to tour guiding, to caring for and presenting programs about raptors.
