 Drum Song (Daylight and Firelight)?

This painting seems to picture Jerry Maribal (Elk Foot) and may be a work that was exhibited at Cincinnati's Traxel Art Galleries in 1923 under the title of Drum Song (Daylight and Firelight) and with these measurements. It relates to a work that was shown a year later at the same venue, Firelight Drummer. (see related image, #23a)

It also relates to a larger, brighter, more complex work, War Bonnet Song, also painted about 1923. (related image, #82)  In the latter oil, Jerry is posed similarly both in costume and positioning to this singular figure.
