Taos War Song

There is no painting titled Taos War Song in existing exhibition records. This painting seems to be a companion piece to Ceremonial Drum of ca. 1926. (related image, #282) Perhaps they were painted at the same time given that they are the same size and subject. In Sharp's exhibition at the Hotel Gibson galleries in 1921, Sharp displayed a work titled Pueblo Drummer. Two years later he presented the same work or some variation thereof, and a year after that there were two paintings titled Pueblo Drummer shown. This work could be one of those.
