The Ceremonial Drum is thought to have been exhibited for the first time in 1926 in Indian Paintings and Western Landscapes at Cincinnati's Traxel Art Galleries and then in Pasadena at the Schroeder Galleries in 1927. (Star News, 11/8/27) It relates directly to another work in the Stark Museum collection, Taos War Song, #652.
