38th Annual Plains Indian Museum Powwow Winners

In our 38th year, the first Center Powwow was held on the top of a flatbed trailer as a dancer demonstration. Today, we are the premier powwow hosted by a major museum. In that time, we’ve shared memories with generations in and out of the arena. Our gratitude goes out to our dancers, singers, vendors, sponsors, Center staff, and volunteers. Despite rain and wind, we were able to host 2-days of competition. The Powwow was well attended with 200+ registered dancers, 10 drums, and over 30 vendors. The Powwow Committee, dancers, and vendors reflected all regions of Indian Country and represented the following tribes: Apache, Assiniboine, Blackfoot Confederacy, Chickasaw, Colville, Cree, Creek, Crow, Dakota, Dine, Eastern Shoshone, Fort Peck Sioux, Gros Ventre, Hidatsa, Hopi, Isleta, Kickapoo of Kansas, Kiowa, Lakota, Mandan, Nakoda, Northern Arapaho, Northern Cheyenne, Northern Ute, Ojibwe, Omaha, Osage, Pequot, Seneca, Shoshone-Bannock, Southern Cheyenne, Spokane, Taos Pueblo, Tsimshiah, Wichita, and Yakama.

Tentative dates for the 39th Annual Plains Indian Museum Powwow are June 13-14, 2020. Here is a list of all the winners from our event:
