Old Tribal Chants

Fenn, 2007, pg. 338 lists a painting of this title and with these measurements as dating from 1908.  The composition with the crowded interior grouping and the strong but hidden light source is a tighter, more glowing version of The Drummers - Crow - A Pause in the Dance of 1906, #389. The Old Tribal Chants is also closely related to two slightly larger paintings, Making Medicine of 1908 and Old Chief's Query. (related images #s271 and 107)
