Book Signing with Paul Andrew Hutton
September 17 | 2PM | Points West Market
Buffalo Bill Center of the West

Join us at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West on Wednesday, September 17, at 2PM for a special lecture and book signing with Paul Andrew Hutton, acclaimed historian and interim curator of the Buffalo Bill Museum. Hutton will be signing copies of his latest work, The Undiscovered Country: Triumph, Tragedy, and the Shaping of the American West, at the Points West Market, located inside the Center.

In this sweeping and provocative new book, Hutton—author of the celebrated The Apache Wars—peels back the layers of American myth to uncover the complex and often painful truths behind the taming of the frontier. Spanning from the forests of colonial Pennsylvania to the snow-capped Sierra Nevada, The Undiscovered Country tells the story of westward expansion through the lives of seven iconic figures: Daniel Boone, Red Eagle, Davy Crockett, Mangas Coloradas, Kit Carson, Sitting Bull, and William “Buffalo Bill” Cody. Through these lives, Hutton weaves a vivid narrative of ambition and violence, of wonder and ruin—ultimately revealing how the American West shaped the nation’s identity while bearing the weight of its contradictions.

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet one of America’s foremost Western historians and have your copy of The Undiscovered Country personally signed.
