With Brian Beauvais
At Holiday Inn, Cody
January 12, 2023
5:30–7:30 p.m.
Join us the second Thursdays of the months of January through April for Cody Culture Club. Appetizers and cash bar at every program. If you love Cody, you’re part of the Club!
For more than four decades, Larry Larom organized annual summer pack trips for the children of his well-to-do Eastern dude clientele from Valley Ranch on the upper South Fork. These excursions were often longer than five weeks and posed interesting logistical challenges. Well-documented in a collection of photographic scrapbooks, the pack trips provide a wonderful opportunity to address how tourism regularly reached the remotest sections of Yellowstone National Park. Park County Archives Curator Brian Beauvais uses historic photographs to recount these trips.
Cody Culture Club events are $20 per person, with ticket packages available (two tickets to every program for only $130 — a great gift idea!).
This event is sold out. Please consider reserving your spot for future programs clicking here. Call 307-578-4008 to learn more.
Brian Beauvais is the Curator of the Park County Archives in Cody, Wyoming. He has an MA in history and is currently working toward a MLS degree. Brian is a member of the Park County Historic Preservation Commission & the Park County Historical Society.
