Join Eric Rossborough, Associate Librarian and Senior Cataloger of the McCracken Research Library, on September 15 at 6 p.m. to explore the sixth institution of the Center of the West. Does the rich, warm smell of old books call to you? Does discovering the secrets and histories of the library pique your interest? At this event, Exclusive Tours is cracking open the stacks that are usually hidden behind closed doors and diving into the lives and legends of the written wild West.

Be sure to join us for our 2-hour premium Exclusive Tours & Toddies event featuring the McCracken’s collection. The library holds 36,000 books, more than 600 numbered manuscript collections, over one million photographic images, and countless stories.

Whether it’s first edition publications, original photographs, vintage maps, or forgotten letters, the McCracken Research Library houses a vast collection of rare archival items and materials that provide insights into our region’s history. Guests at this event get up close to words written by Lewis and Clark, papers touched by Buffalo Bill, and photographs taken by Harold McCracken himself.

Following the tour, Eric brings the group back to the Exclusive Tours Depot for Q&A, custom charcuterie, and adult beverages. Enjoy our sweet “Manuscript Melts” and toast to the memory of Harold McCracken and his historic Northern Expeditions with our special “Arctic Explorer” cocktail.
