Art Meets Ecology
Artist-in-Residence: Linda Foy at the Draper
From June 16 to 20, the Draper Natural History Museum welcomed artist-in-residence Linda Foy, known for her vibrant interpretations of migratory wildlife. During her residency, Foy created a 48-by-60-inch painting on the Draper’s Tile Map depicting the pronghorn migration across Wyoming. Visitors enjoyed the rare opportunity to watch her paint live and learn about the ecological significance of the migration.
Foy’s work blends art and science, inspired by migration maps and collaborations with conservation groups. Her vivid paintings bring the hidden movements of wildlife to life, reflecting her deep connection to the American West’s landscapes and wildlife.
