Sculpture Guide: Mule Deer
Life-Size Mule Deer
By Michael Coleman
2013
Location: Cashman Greever Garden
Life-Size Mule Deer, cast number 6 of an edition of 20, takes a prominent place the Buffalo Bill Center of the West’s Cashman Greever Garden, near Harry Jackson’s Sacajawea and visible from the breezeway leading from the Hub, or central lobby, to our Plains Indian Museum.
This sculpture shares the same attention to detail and elegance seen in other of the Center’s bronze sculptures by Michael Coleman, including for example September and Last of the Buffalo.
It was added to our repertoire of outdoor sculpture in the redesigned Cashman Greever Garden in 2017.
Michael Coleman (b. 1946). Life-Size Mule Deer, 2013. Bronze, H 66.5 x W 58 inches. Gift of Naoma Tate and the Family of Hal Tate. 12.13
