Behind the Battle Lines: A Revolutionary Preview

April 17 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm MDT

Friday, April 17 | 3:30 – 5 PM

Exclusive Tours invites you to answer the call of independence and join us the afternoon before the Cody Firearms Museum unveils its major Arms of the Revolution exhibition. This intimate experience invites guests to hear directly from three leading experts who bring the weapons, evidence, and pivotal moments of the American Revolution to life.

As part of this special program, guests will meet two of the exhibition’s foremost authorities: Erik Goldstein, co-author of The Brown Bess: An Identification Guide and Illustrated Study of Britain’s Most Famous Musket, a full-color reference featuring photographs and an illustrated guide to markings and bayonets used by British forces, and Joel Bohy, co-author of Bullet Strikes From the First Day of the American Revolution, featuring forensic investigations tracing bullet impacts and artifacts along Battle Road from Lexington to Boston.

The afternoon will be hosted by Danny Michael, the Robert W. Woodruff Curator of the Cody Firearms Museum, who will offer an insider’s look at the upcoming exhibition. Guests will also be among the first to view a featured artifact from the Arms of the Revolution and hear firsthand how these historians and curators uncover the stories hidden in muskets, markings, and battlefield evidence.

Following the program, Erik and Joel will be signing their books from 5:00-5:30 PM. Books will be available for purchase at the Points West Market inside the museum.

Tickets are $50 for members, $55 for non-members and include a personal invitation to attend the Members-Only Arms of the Revolution Exhibition opening from 5:30-7:30 PM that evening, plus each guest will receive one drink ticket for the beverage of his choice at the opening.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to discover through rare artifacts, expert insight, and dynamic discussion, how weapons, technology, and individuals shaped the fight for independence and how those stories continue to resonate 250 years later.

Tickets go on sale  Monday, March 9 at 10 AM.
