Coffee & Curators: Behind-the-Scenes at the Draper
Friday, August 2 | 10 a.m. | Buffalo Bill Center of the West
Join us for August’s Coffee & Curators at the Draper Natural History Museum, where we’ll explore exciting updates and preview a rare opportunity to witness science and artistry in action. This month’s program includes:
♣ A discussion of our reinstalled Invisible Boundaries migration table interactive—with insight into how this dynamic exhibit helps track the seasonal movements of Greater Yellowstone’s elk.
♣ A sneak peek at the upcoming Lee “The Boneman” Post Bison Articulation Workshop, launching August 4. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to reconstruct a full bison skeleton—bone by bone—on the Draper’s iconic tile map.
Curators will also share future exhibit plans and invite you to follow the bison articulation process in real time, right here in the museum. If time and group size allow, we’ll take a short walk to the Draper lower level to see the migration table in person.
This is a great chance to connect with our team, ask questions, and get excited about what’s ahead at the Draper.
