“A Muzeum Race” Family Fun Day was a Winner
On Friday evening, November 24, teams from around the Cody community came to participate in the A Muzeum Race Family Fun Day here at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It was a blast and a huge success.
Here are 10 reasons the night was so fun:
- Members and non-members came out to play, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
- The Cody wind was a blowin’, which gave community members an added incentive to come to the museum where we were all warm and cozy.
- To my knowledge, there were no fistfights, elbow throwing, or sore losers.
- No gallery monitors or race referees were yelled at for slowing down participants.
- No racers got lost in the museum and forced to spend the night.
- The family-friendly dinner was free—can’t beat free food.
- The team names made us all chuckle—especially names like the Wild Pancakes, the Sliced Breads, and the Greasy Marmots.
- No artifacts or exhibits were damaged during the race.
- We had 32 competitive teams, and numerous teams that were just going through the museum at their own pace.
- And last but most importantly, the museum was full of kids—kids laughing, kids playing, and kids learning!
Thanks to all who supported the Amazing Race Family Fun Day. We hope to see you again soon. Below is a list of the teams and their official race times. Congrats to the Wild Pancakes (aka the Spiering Family)! They were our official winners.
