Building our 4th of July Float

Today in Cody, Wyoming, is our July 3rd Stampede Parade where the entries for the 4th of July parade are judged. It’s kind of like a parade rehearsal. This year’s theme is “Fast Cars, Fast Horses, and Freedom.” On July 4th, everyone gets to see the winners proudly wear their ribbons on their floats.

The pressure is on! Last year the Buffalo Bill Center of the West placed first in the theme category with our jail break float. Here are a few pictures of us building the Freedom part of our entry yesterday, which I get to drive on the 4th. And yes, that is a giant Declaration of Independence on the back of our truck.
