Try something new! This Virtual Field Trip will get students up and moving their bodies.
Steady and Proud invites K–3 students to closely explore an object of Plains Indian regalia from our collection and discover the important connection between horses and Plains Indian cultures. Through slow looking and guided movement, students will explore themes of connection, strength, and pride while developing social-emotional skills.
Please Note: Students will need enough space to safely stand up and move around during this Virtual Field Trip, similar to a yoga class.
Artful Movement® is a method developed by Create Calm and is offered at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in collaboration with the Smithsonian. Sessions are led by museum educators trained in the Artful Movement approach.
