Dr. Shoemaker papers, printed material and photographs.  Correspondence, reports and documents relating to Dr. Shoemaker’s tenure as a physician with the Bureau of Indian Affairs from about 1905 to 1920.  Includes numerous photographs of clinics, patients, students, etc….  Also contains copies of publications about or by Native Americans during that period, including Indian School Journal and the Carlisle school publications  Indian Craftsman/ Red Man.
