This painting is probably a set piece Sharp exhibited in 1926 at the Traxel Art Galleries in Cincinnati. The exhibition was titled Indian Paintings and Western Landscapes and the painting carried the title of Elk Foot and Bawling Deer (Firelight and Twilight). Another similar work, though more interse in color contrasts, is the Red Stone Pipe, #504.
