Angela Sun Goes Slow

Exhibited in Gilcrease Junior High School 1949 inaugural exhibition.  This may be part of a mother/daughter pair. Sharp painted a Crow girl with the name of Julia Sun Goes Slow at this time.  (see related image, #522) Sharp painted another version of the mother also. (see related image, #198)

Given the signature type, this portrait was painted after 1902.

Sharp's sales ledgers indicate that Gilcrease purchased this oil in September 1949 directly from the artist. (Sharp Papers)
