Chief Running Rabbit

Penciled on duster cover on verso: 1904 Chief Running Rabbit Blackfeet. Inscribed on paper attached to dust cover: Blackfeet were Sun Worshipers - In his teepee one day, we saw the priest go by - Running Rabbit said: There goes the black robe, a very fine man. They tell me there are many conflicting religions - As for me, see that sun? It brings the rains, it makes the grass grow - it keeps me warm, I feel it.
