An Old Garden in Taos

Two versions of a painting with this exact title were offered at The Schroeder Galleries in Pasadena in a 1927 exhibition titled Indian Paintings.  One was listed for $450 and the other for $350.  It is not known which version this one is, if either. One of the paintings was exhibited the next year at The Traxel Art Galleries, Cincinnati and the same or another in 1929.

 

Two other versions of about the same size as this landscape and bearing the same title today, are known.  (see related images 352a and 352b)
