There are no paintings in the available Sharp sales and exhibition records titled "After the Hunt." He did produce several variations on this theme in the early to mid-1920s such as the similarly sized Rendezvous in the Arroyo that was offered for sale at his Traxel’s Art Galleries exhibition Indian Paintings and Western Landscapes and Sketches of Africa and Spain in Cincinnati in 1923.The closest appropriate title is found in an offering at Cincinnati’s Traxel Art Galleries in 1926 and again at The Schroeder Galleries in Pasadena in 1927 titled Spring Hunting Talk. This may be the James Museum’s work.
