Step back in time and experience the eerie charm of Cody, Wyoming, on this Haunted Tours & Trails program on October 30 from 6–8 p.m. for a walk through the spookier side of our town’s history.
As twilight descends, we’ll lead you through historic downtown to discover Cody’s legends. The evening event starts at the Irma Hotel (1192 Sheridan Avenue in Cody). We’ll uncover chilling tales of the past, mysterious myths, and spine-tingling stories of the Wild West on this walking tour.
With no walls or roof to stop them, the shadows of the night will be at our feet as we make our way down Sheridan Avenue. We’ll be immersed in the tales that haunt this entrancing town, where buildings creak and old foundations guard their secrets.
Each purchased ticket to this program includes a copy of the book Spooky Yellowstone as well as VIP access to several historic buildings and downtown spaces during the tour. Stops include a behind-the-scenes tour of the J.H. Vogel funeral home and Cody’s famous Irma Hotel as well as a hot drink break at Legends Bookstore.
This is an easy 1.5-mile roundtrip hike over city sidewalks and paved roads. The tour will periodically stop to discover the history of several structures and their original occupants along the way.
Cody, Wyoming, is a crossroads into Yellowstone and the American West for millions of people. This means all types of characters and spirits crossed these streets on their way to adventure…but some spirits never left!
