The Buffalo Bill Center of the West is excited to announce that the MILES Program is our fundraising focus for WyoGives this year. Gifts to the Museum Interpretation, Learning and Enrichment for Students program will provide scholarships to K – 12 schools across the Rocky Mountain West to help reimburse travel costs associated with visiting the Center.
• Scholarships fully or partially cover lodging and transportation costs.
• More than 17,000 students (roughly the seating capacity of Madison Square Garden!) have benefited so far.
• The 2024 – 25 school year will mark the program’s 25th year.
• Visits include museum admission and a guided tour from our Education Department.
• Guided tours help teachers meet their curriculum requirements.
• For many students, this is the first trip they have taken outside their hometown.
• The Center of the West is a proud member of the Wyoming Nonprofit Network (WNN) and salutes our state’s leading nonprofit advocacy organization and their WyoGives fundraising initiative.
• Now in its fifth year, WyoGives and WNN have enabled Wyoming’s nonprofits to raise money and statewide awareness for 24 hours of online giving.
• Please consider joining thousands of Wyomingites and friends to support the meaningful and socially critical work that Wyoming’s nonprofits accomplish every day.
• This year’s date coincides with Wyoming Statehood Day, Wednesday, July 10.
