A Trout Brook in Winter; [Spring Thaw]

This is thought to be a painting titled A Trout Brook in Winter initially exhibited in New York at the Fishel, Adler & Schwartz Galleries in 1906. The asking price was $600. The timing would associate it with the similar painting he sold to his Montana friend and patron Charles Bair for $300 in 1905, Pryor Creek.  (#312).

Subsequent showings followed in 1908 in Cincinnati, Indianapolis and St. Louis and then in 1909 in Kansas City before concluding its travels in Cincinnati at the University Club in 1912 and the Hotel Gibson galleries in 1916.
