The Young Chief

This painting was purchased by Charles Bair from an exhibition of Sharp works in Billings during the summer of 1906. Bair then donated it to the Billings Chamber of Commerce. (sales ledgers, September 1906, Sharp Papers)

A slightly larger version of this scene, titled Crow Reservation, was sold to the City School District of the City of Cincinnati at about this time. (see related image, #614)
