In size, tone and palette as well as pose, this work is similar to Sun Down Dance, related image, #673. The model, probably Hunting Son, is the vehicle for featuring two of Sharp’s most prized Northern Plains articacts, the Crow hide shield and the Sioux feather bonnet.
