Council Call of Crows, Montana

Sharp painted two known versions of this scene in the second decade of the 20th century, this one and another, Council Call of Crows: Firelight and Twilight (related image, # 65).  One of those paintings, under the title Council Call of Crows, was shown at the exhibit Indian and Other Paintings at the Traxel Art Galleries in Cincinnati in 1927. Neither painting was sold by the artist until the late 1940s.
