Sharp painted two other known versions of this boy and sold one to Joseph Butler in 1906 (later deaccessioned) and the other to Phoebe Hearst in 1904. (related image, #193) This painting had its debut in New York at the Fishel, Adler & Schwartz Galleries in late 1906.
