Only Indian I ever saw (except Navajos) that let hair grow on his face!" On paper attached to dust cover: "Chief Many White Horses- Blackfeet - 1905 Owned the last all skin tepee (Buffalo elk etc. with legs) of any Indians in U.S. After couple years dickering he turned it over. I used to put it among the Crow teepees & used it in many pictures. It is now in S.W. Indian Museum, Los Angles Only Indian I have seen (except Navajo) that let hair grow on face-!"
