This portrait of the Pueblo man, Running Horse, was exhibited at the Cincinnati Museum in 1900 and at the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC in 1901. The Smithsonian purchased it from the latter exhibition.

 

Sharp made an etching of this Taos man.  (see related image, #247a)
