White Swan - Crow

This is the early version of White Swan that was exhibited in 1901 at the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC and sold from there to the Smithsonian Institution.  It may have been exhibited earlier at the Cincinnati Museum in 1900. It is a similar pose to that of Sharp's 1904 and 1906 portraits of White Swan. (related images, #s10 and 233)
