In the Studio

This painting pictures Sharp's wife Addie seated before one of the artist's paintings in his Cincinnati studio in the artists compound known as the Ogden Building.  Painted in 1897, is shows a composite of European and American western artifacts on the walls.  Addie's presence in the studio feminizes the workspace in a period when his European paintings were being featured.
