What does Yellowstone look like through the eyes of a bison?

Experience What Bison See, a wildlife documentary from the Wyoming Migration Initiative at the University of Wyoming that offers an unprecedented glimpse into the lives and movements of Yellowstone bison. The film follows the first Yellowstone bison fitted with video collars, providing an intimate, first-person perspective on how these iconic animals navigate the landscape.

Produced in partnership with the National Park Service and presented by Yellowstone Forever, the film features footage and insights from biologists and a tribal representative, revealing new perspectives on bison behavior, movement, and their relationship with the Yellowstone ecosystem.

Following the screening, a discussion panel and audience Q&A will feature Yellowstone bison biologist Chris Geremia; Matt Kauffman, leader of the Wyoming Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Unit at the University of Wyoming; Janey Fugate, project coordinator for the Global Initiative on Ungulate Migration with the Wyoming Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Unit; and filmmaker Patrick Rodgers of the Wyoming Migration Initiative.

The evening concludes with a reception on the Draper Natural History Museum’s Tile Map, offering an opportunity to continue the conversation with the filmmakers and wildlife experts.
